What is it in your life that is "vital" to your day? What is absolutely necessary to the maintenance of your life? What can you not live without? What do you gravitate to everyday? What do you need? What do you consider an essential?
I feel as though my title should actually be called "brutal" as being this transparent borders on brutal, however the title "vital" holds a larger lesson. For the last 6 days now I have been without my "purple book"! ...

Reading through these devotions in the segments of obedience, and now trust, have caused me to think "parental."

All growing up my father would seize the moment to say to his three daughters individually with endearing eyes, on many occasions, "you're beautiful!" In the beginning, my mind would race trying to assess what he could possibly see and as I struggled to receive a compliment, he smiled and continued, "on the outside too!" It's true, though it did not start out this way, the title of the weekly blog has become a word game and a prayer -- "God give me a word that depicts the fresh thing you are speaking to me through Kay's book and your Word this week (and if it can rhyme, that would be awesome!)".
So "crucible" -- A severe test, as of patience or belief; a trial. We all have faced, or are facing, or will face our "crucible."
