My journal is where I keep so many different things -- from quotes and verses to recording the toughest times all the way to the happiest -- sometimes even with pictures! Last Friday I made a "happy" entry and have been waiting til today to share it with you! Kay wrote a special note to all of us!!! She said "please give the women my love and tell them that I pray they will so sense the Lord's presence and hear His voice through His Word. Much love, Isaiah 33:2,6"
Are you sensing the Lord's presence?? One way to slow down is to journal! Kay has provided a page at the end of each devotional. I hope you are making use of that "blank page"! In case anyone is skipping over it, here are some ideas to make journaling worth your while!
When you journal it helps you to remember what you read and the parts that specifically touch you. It also encourages a response from you -- it causes you to pause and ponder and then act on it. The part I like the best is that when I journal, I have created a record -- something to look back and read through and not only be able to trace God's hand in my life, but also to see my progress and growth. I date them and read and re-read them all the time. Every time I go on a trip, I take a journal to read through! There is nothing quite like watching God show up in the pages of your very own story!
Plans have begun for August 11th -- I hope you have already marked your calendar and plan to join in the celebration Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 8:00! We will have light hors'doeuvres, a time of testimonies and song and be treated to having Kay join us via skype!
Happy Journaling!

P.S. I wanted to say thanks to all those who have joined me in the "21 day challenge"! One day this last week God and I were on the fast track and I kept planning and re-planning when I would stop for a devo, and before I could have even believed the day was over, I found myself in bed without having read. I remembered the challenge, and so I crawled out of bed and Ephesians 5:15-16 met me -- "be careful how you walk, wisely, making the most of your time because the days are evil." I was convicted -- I needed that in the morning! I am loving the journey!!!
It's not too late to join in on the challenge -- make a habit of being in the Book every day! (21 days forms a habit)
